I was talking w my mom and found out she watched the heidi of the alps anime as a kid, so I explained how it was part of the "world masterpiece theater" block that adapts books from around the world (and how I recently watched+loved the anne of green gables adaptation). And she asks me if they ever did anything from greece, but I told her unfortunately no because there isn't really a lot of well-known modern greek literature outside of greece tells. However there's the ancient stuff, which did get me thinking... If they ever wanna revive the block (again) an anime version of the iliad and odyssey would actually kick ass. I wouldn't even want them to follow it faithfully, I would want as much tropy bullshit as possible. Rule of cool. I wanna see griddy guts-esque seinen protagonist odysseus. And while we're at it let's do a shounen jason and the argonauts I'm so serious. Someone get Fuji TV on the phone

📕📙📔📒📗📘📓 is this all the book emojis? maybe- am i just really curious cause i want more ideas? y u p -
Awwww I'm honored!!! Okay I'll give you a bunch then--
An au where Kanan and Hera meet and not long after the Force decides "hey, this lady is super smart. We should give her the ability to control plants so that she can gather all the Jedi to fight back against the Empire!" And so Hera gets that and becomes the prophesied Queen of the Jedi and Kanan is her number one guard and is kinda overprotective and Ezra is still his young punk apprentice and yes this is based off of Epic why do you ask--
When Ezra yeets himself into hyperspace he shoots himself and Thrawn back into time and they get stuck in a four year time loop in which Thrawn keeps trying to kill him and Ezra keeps trying to save the day and accidentally keeps bringing people back with him whenever the loop resets (Sabine, Ahsoka, Kallus, Rex, etc.). Also the only way to break the time loop is to save Kanan
laskdjlfsjkdlfkds I almost forgot about this one-- a Star Wars-ified Anne of Green Gables inspired au that I literally created solely for A) Hera smashing a slate (or in this case, datapad) over Kanan's head and B) the friends to lovers arc. Also if you haven't read/watched Anne of Green Gables, do. It's amazing
Zootopia Kanera au. I haven't gone too in depth in this au, but I THINK it speaks for itself
Okay imagine if Kanan wound up on Tatooine and bumped into Obi-Wan who decided he needed to adopt this young punk that he recognized from the Temple to make sure he doesn't get himself killed and Kanan sasses him all the time but stays with him most of the time and travels the galaxy other times and definitely brings Hera home and Obi-Wan makes them tea and ships them and she reminds him of Satine HECK I MADE MYSELF SAD
Another Batman!au, but Hera's Batman and Kanan is Catwoman. This is inspired solely by this scene in Batman: The Animated Series where Catwoman's all "you know there's something between us" and Batman's like "yeah. Unfortunately, it's the law" and while I know Hera hates puns it just HAD THEIR VIBES
Hmmm, it's hard to choose one to end on. Uhhhhhhhhhh not gonna lie my accidental rom-com slaps but like. I wanna keep that one under wraps and not post about it. So let me leave you with these words-- Jacen and Kanan Frequency Au
Ask game!!

Rules: Answer 20 questions, then tag 20 people you’d like to get to know better.
I was tagged by: @sassyandclassy94    ^_^
1. Name: Secretariatess.  Or we could go with my Chinese name, which is 虹 (Got it in college when I took Chinese.)
2. Nickname(s): Secret, though I’ve also been called Grandma Secret.  I sign my art with Sidda because that’s a pen name I want to use.
3. Zodiac sign: Aquarius.  Boar.  Kumbha.  Green Dragon and Rowan.  Mut or Shu.  Otter.  (It was never specified WHICH Zodiac had to be used, soooo . . .   Also, fun fact, despite Aquarius being the constellation of the water bearer, it is an air sign. I’ve got airbending powers, guys.)
4. Height: 5’1”.  Thereabouts.
5. Languages: English, some Japanese, and even less Chinese.
6. Nationality: American.  Breaking down by heritage, I only remember Irish and Cherokee specifically.
7. Favorite season: Winter
8. Favorite flower: Hmmm.  Morning glories are pretty.
9. Hobby(ies): Writing.  Drawing.  Coming up with projects that I’ll probably never complete but I make an effort.  I’d say reading, but it’s been a while.

11: Favorite animal(s): Horses.  Hands down.
12. Favorite fictional character(s): Train Heartnet (Black Cat); Jellal Fernandes (Fairy Tail); Lemony Snicket (A Series of Unfortunate Events); Anne (Anne of Green Gables); Lizzy (Pride and Prejudice) . ..  I have others, but I can’t remember them individually or list them individually.  Like, I’d have to just give my favorites stories.

14. Average amount of sleep: Eheheheheh.  I don’t know.
15. Dogs or cats: I prefer dogs slightly more than cats.

17. Dream Trip: I mean, Japan, but other than that (as I’d like to live there), probably . . . Alaska or China.  I also like road trips, and stopping at roadside attractions.
18. Blog established: Sometime in 2014, I believe.  And I started it because I had started watching Supernatural and wanted to see all of the gifs in use.  I was severely disappointed.
19. Followers: 258, if I remember correctly.  Thanks guys- you’ve really stuck around despite the weirdness of this blog.
20. Random fact: Before I got into horses, I absolutely loved Dalmatians. So stuffed dogs from that time were all Dalmatians and 101 Dalmatians was my favorite Disney movie.
I don’t have twenty people, but I’ll tag @accimaginaryescapades @my--darling--dear2 @simplyghosting @enjoliquej @secret--psalms--saturn And anyone else who wants to do this. I’d tag a few more, but I have to get going.

These days I actually have more favourite albums rather than artists, because I often adore a certain album by an artist but don’t care about any of their other stuff.)
song stuck in head: Nothing right now but I’m listening to the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack so that’s gonna be stuck in my head all week...
If you had a time machine, would you go back in time or visit the future? I feel like visiting the future would just raise a lot of questions and worries, so I’d rather visit the past.
do I get asks: I get 1-3 asks per week, maybe?

dream job: I’d love to be a groundskeeper of some old mansion.
dream trip: A trip where I’d travel all across New Zealand... I’d love to see the diversity of nature there, and of course I’d also love to visit the places where LotR was filmed and go on a Hobbiton Movie Set Tour.
if you were an animal, what would you be? A robin!

If Gilbert were to walk Anne home in season 3 how do you think that would go?
Ok, I loved this prompt so much, it was what inspired me to send out the prompt ask. Words: a little under 2k.
Anne stepped outside the schoolhouse and looked up. It had gotten dark while they were inside, studying for their Queens entrance exam with Miss Stacey. There was a small club now, Anne, Josie, Ruby, Gilbert, Charlie and Miss Stacey. Diana wasn’t able to study with them because her mom didn’t allow her. Josie and Ruby left in the same direction and Charlie left the other way as Anne stood on the edge of the schoolhouse’s porch, staring up at the sky.
“Anne?” Gilbert asked, tapping her on the shoulder, jerking her head back to reality. “What are you doing?”
“The stars,” Anne said, pointing up at them. “They’re beautiful.”
Gilbert looked up at them too. “They sure are,” he agreed, looking back at her. He knew the stars were beautiful, but the way Anne was looking at them made her think that seeing them through her eyes would augment them somehow. That her imagination would make them even more beautiful.
“Are you two ok getting home?” Miss Stacey asked, locking the door behind her. “It’s pretty dark.”
Anne looked around her nervously, noticing how it was night. “I can walk her home, Miss Stacey,” Gilbert offered. “That is, if it’s ok with Anne,” Gilbert quickly added.
“It’s fine,” Anne said.
“Stay safe,” Miss Stacey said as she left for her home.
Gilbert stared at Anne as she continued to look up at the stars. He wanted to get her home safe, but also didn’t want to disturb her. He waited, and when she smiled back at him they started their walk home.
They walked side by side, with Anne keeping glancing up at the stars. When they entered the forest, Gilbert thought Anne would stop looking up but she didn’t. “I love the way the stars and moon looks when you move through the tree branches,” she told him.
Unfortunately, thus would be her undoing. She was too busy looking up, and she ended up tripping on a root. Gilbert was looking over at her and saw it happen and tried to stop it but he was a bit too late and ended up awkwardly holding her in a sort of a dip. She was at an angle, in a sort of a plank. Gilbert was leaning over her, one foot in front of the other, his right hand was supporting her back and the other on her shoulder. Anne was stunned. She looked up, into his eyes, and forgot to breath. They were nose to nose, so close Gilbert was thinking about how easy it would be to kiss Anne and Anne was thinking the same thing. But Gilbert didn’t. He pulled her up and got her securely on her feet.
“Maybe I should be looking ahead,” Anne said.
“It would save any more awkward situations,” Gilbert replied as they started walking again.
“I would’t exactly call that awkward,” Anne objected.
“What would you call it?” Gilbert asked.
Anne held her tongue. She wanted to say that she thought of it as romantic, but she wouldn’t say that since she already knew he didn’t think like that. “What did you think about nights like this?”Gilbert wasn’t really sure how to respond to something like that, so he gave a simple answer. “I like them.”
“Oh, I love them,” Anne told him. “I love this time of year because it’s cool but not so cold you have to wear big winter coats. In addition to the time of year being perfect, I love how perfectly still this night is. It’s silent. It’s like we are the only two souls still awake and moving. It soothes the soul, doesn’t it, to know that you can finally be alone with your thoughts. Especially after a long day, it’s nice to be alone.”
“You aren’t alone,” Gilbert reminded her, bringing her back to reality since she seemed to have zoned out.
“Yes, I suppose,” Anne said, and they continued to walk in silence.
“What did you think about Miss Stacey’s lessons?” Gilbert asked, trying to start a conversation.
“Oh, I love Miss Stacey,” Anne said, “and while I am excelling at the writing, reading, and anything to do with the english language I am still struggling with math and especially algebra and geometry.”
“Well, we could study together,” Gilbert said. “I could help tutor you with the math stuff.”
“That’d be great!” Anne said.
“Sure, come over whenever,” Gilbert said enthusiastically. “Bash would love to see you again, and so would Mary. To tell you the truth, it would be nice to have someone else there. Bash and Mary are nice, but they are a bit too couple-y. It’d be nice to have someone else who’s also single there.”
Anne smiled, but it was reserved like she wasn’t sure if she should really be smiling. “I wouldn’t criticize them for being too in love,” Anne objected.
“I’m not,” Gilbert said quickly. “I’m just saying, looking at them, making heart eyes and in love, it reminds me about all the stuff I want, the stuff I don’t have. Yet.”
“What do you mean?” Anne was curious. She had never seen Gilbert like this.
“Just, I want that. I want to fall in love,, have them fall in love with you. I want to have a house, and kiss every night before I go to bed, and I want to know exactly who I’m waking up next to every day. I want someone that I can talk to and live with and fall for, every single day, every time I look at her.”
Anne looked over at Gilbert as a ball formed in her throat. This was exactly what she wanted to hear someone say about her. But then she remembered who she was, and who he was, and looked down, embarrassed. It was foolish to imagine he would actually be speaking about her. Not that she felt the same way, it’s just that it would have been flattering if he was.
“What about you?” Gilbert asked.
“What?” Anne looked up at Gilbert, confused.
“Planning on settling down and falling in love?” Gilbert specified.
“Well,” Anne didn’t know how to answer the question. “I suppose it would depend on if I ever meet my soulmate. If I meet them than of course I want that, but if not than I’m fine having never experienced romance for myself. I get enough of it from books anyway.”
“Do you believe in soulmates?” Gilbert asked.
“Of course,” Anne said.
“Do you think you’ve found your soulmate?” Gilbert continued.
“No,” Anne said firmly. “I would know immediately if I found them. Our eyes would meet, our hearts would beat faster, in time with on another. I will know.”
Gilbert was embarrassed. He thought she might consider him her soulmate, but she obviously didn’t.
They continued on in silence, Anne looking at the stars every chance she got, but not too much because she didn't want to trip, and Gilbert looking at Anne every chance he got, but not too much because he didn’t want to seem creepy.
When they got to the field before Green Gables, Anne looked up at the sky, longingly. She wanted to stay and look at the beautiful stars. Every step towards Green Gables made her heart grow heavy. She stopped, halfway through the field and turned to Gilbert.
“You can go home now,” she said. “I don’t need your help the rest of the way.”
Gilbert sensed something was off about Anne. “It’s no trouble,” he assured her. “I walk you the rest of the way.
“No,” Anne said, as she stopped walking and firmly planted her feet.
Gilbert glanced back, concerned. “What is it,” he furrowed his eyebrows.
Anne couldn't quite find the words. “It’s just,” she attempted, “I’m not ready to go back inside yet. I don’t want to.”
“What do you want?” Gilbert asked.
Anne looked up at his gorgeous eyes. I want you, she thought. But she knew she couldn’t say that. Instead, she looked up even higher. “I want the stars.”
Gilbert smiled. If he could, he would give her every star in the sky. Every planet, comet and nebula should be her’s. But he knew he couldn’t, so he settled for just watching it with her. “Come over here,” he said, bringing her off the beaten path and into the field. “Lay down,” he instructed, laying down himself and patting the ground next to him.
She hesitated, but joined eventually. They lay next to each other and looked up at the stars. It was interesting, knowing that even though they were seeing the same sky, Anne’s was probably a lot brighter and fuller than his.
“Do you know any constellations?” Anne asked.
“Unfortunately not,” Gilbert replied, but he looked over at Anne with a smile. “Why don’t you make some up?”
Anne grinned at the possibility. “Well, that one there looks like a snake,” Anne said. “See those stars there? That’s the underbelly and that’s the top. The tail goes there, ending with that star, and that’s the head.”
“Where’s it going?” Gilbert asked.
“It’s not going anywhere in particular,” Anne informed him. “It’s just been cursed to always wander so it can never be with it’s true love, um, the badger in that corner of the sky.” Anne pointed by Gilbert’s head.
“And who cursed the two lovebirds?” Gilbert asked.
Anne continued telling stories, giving every corner of the sky it’s own animal or person till everything was covered. Then she sat back and they admired her work.
Gilbert had so many questions he wanted to ask her, but knew that it was more important to stay here with Anne.
They were interrupted by Marilla, walking out on the porch and flooding the field with light.
“Marilla?” Anne said, sitting up and turning around to face her adopted mother.
“There you are, Anne!” Marilla yelled, terrified. “Come inside at once!”
Anne stood up and started walking towards the house. Gilbert got up and joined her.
“What is it?” Anne asked.
“I had no idea where you were, I thought something had happened to you.
“Nothing happened, we were just watching the stars,” Anne assured her.
“Don’t worry, next time I’ll bring her right home,” Gilbert said, but then stopped himself. He hadn’t discussed latter walks home with Anne. But he looked over and Anne seemed to be trying her best not to smile so he had not overstepped too much.
“Well, come inside right now,” Marilla said.
“Can we at least say good night?” Anne asked.
“Very well,” Marilla said, “but don’t take too long.”
Marilla went back inside. Anne turned back to Gilbert. “Thank you for the walk home,” she said.
“Thank you for sharing the stars with me,” Gilbert responded. They stood there for a moment, unsure what to say next.
“Well,” Anne said, “see you tomorrow. Good night.” Anne tuned around and went into the house
“Wait, Anne!” Gilbert said, catching her before she could go into the house. He had so much to say to her, but had trouble to find the words. “Don’t think that love can only come to you like a tidal wave. Sometimes it starts soft, like light rain, and before you know it’s pouring and you are drenched to the bone.” He looked at her, hoping she understood who he was referring too but her face was filled with surprise, not understanding. He suddenly grew extremely embarrassed. “Good night,” he said quickly, running off into the night leaving a very confused Anne on the porch.

Fifteen Questions, Fifteen Mutuals
Tagged by @utsukushiiyume. It’s very nice to be thought of.
1. Are you named after anyone?
I am not. My Dad wanted to name me Ruan after a woman he met once who he thought was very beautiful. My Mom used her veto power on that one.
My middle name is Ann. Without an “e” - unfortunately. In my secret heart, I pretend I was named after Anne of Green Gables, my fellow INFP soulmate.
2. When was the last time you cried?
...Yesterday.
3. Do you have kids?
Yeah. I did that procreation thing. I have one loinfruit. It’s a pretty sweet gig, but sometimes it makes me cry (see question 2).
4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
I use a smattering of sarcasm here and there, but definitely not a lot. Only when it’s a truly irresistible moment.
5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
What @owlsshadows said really resonates for me. I would say it’s their energy. How they carry themselves. What it feels like to be in their presence. How do they interact with me and with others? Do they feel genuine or insincere? Is their face kind? What’s their body language like? It’s actually a very quick assessment that ultimately builds up to an intuitive sort of sense I get about them.
6. What’s your eye color?
Hazel, leaning towards a sagey green sometimes. Some days more brown.
7. Scary movie or happy ending?
I will crumple into a fetal bundle of hysterics if exposed to anything scary. It doesn’t have to be a happy ending, but save me from frightening, gory disasters. I like lots of character development and smart dialogue.
8. Any special talents?
Hmm...
I used to play the lever harp. And I can make chocolates. But I’m really terribly ordinary.
9. Where were you born?
In a hospital. It was a fast delivery, especially for a primigravida. My dad was at a BBQ and only made it in time to cut the umbilical cord.
10. What are your hobbies?
Does sleeping count? AHAhahahah... ha..... ha.  Ha.
*Sigh*
I love to bake. A lot. My little sis and I used to dream about opening a Winnie the Pooh themed bakery (no joke, we really like Pooh Bear), even though it did NOT fit with our desire to serve up super fancy baked goods. We like classy shit. I was actually enrolled in pastry school. But then, well, sad things happened in my life. That is a private message kind of conversation. I regret never making it through the program.
I like to cook too.
And write.
And any kind of partner dancing. Especially east coast swing and lindy hop (I’m just learning it). But I’ve done west coast swing, rumba, cha-cha, tango, salsa, waltz, and foxtrot.
Reading - novels, manga, occasional non-fiction.
Watching silly tv/anime.
11. Do you have any pets?
No pets. I can barely take care of my little human and myself. I always think I want a cat and then I think about the litter box. Nope.
12. What sports do you play/have you played?
*Hysterical laughter gathering intensity*
Yin and restorative yoga. ;)
(Yes, that was a joke.)
For real though, I am not athletic. I am jello. But I have always wanted to devote myself to jiu-jitsu or judo. Time and energy are just so hard to come by these days. Also babysitters, haha.
13. How tall are you?
5′4″
14. Favorite subject in school?
English, Biology, and French
15. Dream job?
I’m still trying to figure that out what I want to be if I grow up. I’ve imagined a lot of viable options. Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. French Teacher. Counselor. Midwife. Stay at Home Mum. Registered Massage Therapist. The newest idea: Professional Cuddler.
I’m not even joking (at least as a side job). Thanks a lot @superhappybubbleslove.
Clients in my imagination: Shirayuki *heart eyes*
Clients in real life: 98% men above the age of 50
